The piece is scored for harp, marimba and organ, though several
instrumental combinations would work well, in particular strings.
Initially the piece was a psalm and antiphon setting, very liturgical,
with the antiphons based on a beautiful Ukrainian chant that I found
whilst trying to find out about the modes used in the Eastern Orthodox
tradition. You can hear the ascending minor third motif between the
psalm verses. The piece, though simple, is highly structured according
to the architecture of medieval chant. I took liberties with the
harmonisation and counterpoint, again simple in concept. I've reduced
and transposed the piece to suit a standard tuned 22 tet guitar. This
will be my next offering and then, technology permitting, some
soundclips.

Best Wishes.
