I had a look at 'microtonal' in the New Grove Dictionary and was quite
impressed. I'm not sure how 'new' it is but it's new to Edinburgh City
Library. Naturally more could have been said but I thought the new
instrument section was well covered and Partch seems to have been given
the prominence he deserves. Worth a look I would say.

Best Wishes

Alison!
I have a certain distrust of a publication that takes a half century to get around to giving
HP his due. It means to me that i will have to look at the 2051 version to see what is happening
now.

Slowly, slowly, catch a monkey.
