I think I've located the problem. The supposed
cross-platform Java programing language that
this applet is written in - works in the browser
distributed by the Evil Empire (aka Microsoft Explorer)
but not in my user friendly Netscape.

For the record:

Java *is* cross-platform

Java *does* work in Netscape

Java is *not* being used on the page in question

It seems to be JavaScript, and it doesn't work in Netscape for me, either.
