some elves got into my website overnight
and set bugs loose in all my files! <:-?

ok, i admit it - it was me

If you've been to my website lately,
you've noticed some things not working.

my gracious server finally delivered me
from ftp-hell and I started uploading
the volumes of webpages I've been working on

but for some reason, my cross-directory links
aren't working properly - suggestions are welcome
i've reorganized the whole site, so even on some
old stuff links don't work.

i'm not announcing the update -

i'm announcing the problems.

altho you will find new midi-files
expansions of some old stuff
new graphs and charts

oh well, i guess this *is* a

if you're an intrepid soul
and can brave the buggies

(just keep your mouse on the 'back' button)

lots of updates - among them:

- many more definitions in the dictionary

- a downloadable zip file of the entire HTML dictionary
including my lattice article and diagrams
(and a few webpages too, if i recall)

- lots of new MIDI files
some of my latest microtonal tunes
and some of my best work in 12-Eq
including a couple of good pieces from College days

- the complete Mahler 7th, 1st movement MIDI file

- weird and wonderful new lattices John Chalmers made
on some of my most recent ideas

- slightly expanded coverage of Marchetto and Hendrix
and MIDI for Marchetto

- charts of Arab lute frettings

- charts of ETs plotted against tonality diamond pitches
(in the dictionary)

- charts of pitches on Poole's keyboard

- a much better version of the Webern 'Piano Variations' MIDI

- And the Euler translation is finished.
I'm waiting for prof. Bailhache's permission to upload it.

already under way in addition:

- an HTML version of Jan Haluska's highly technical
mathematical paper on schismatic temperament
(anyone out there know how to do HTML equations?)

- MIDI files of the musical examples (and pieces by van Dijk)
from Fokker's 1949 book 'Just Intonation'

- an HTML hyperlinked version of Ivor Darreg's translation
of Vyshnegradsky's 'Manual of Quartertone Harmony'
with MIDI files of the examples

- a webpage about Fabio Colonna (c. 1618) and his
38-tone-per-octave ~JI keyboard the 'Sambuca' (great name!)

- an HTML version of Schoenberg's 1927 essay and 1934 article
'Problems of Harmony', with MIDI music examples

Of course, I eventually plan to
fill all these webpages with lattice diagrams.
I'm lacking serious graphics software right now.

Feel free to report to me any link problems you have.
That way i can just make a checklist.
