newbie...soundcard...?

Hi ppls...new to this list so if i'm wasting ppls time, sorry!, but...

I need to buy a new sound card for my PC, something with an on-board
wave-table synth [like yamaha "waveforce"] that supports alternative
tuning data. I'm looking for something around the AUS$200 mark. Would
anyone have any recommendations, positive/negative experiences, or list
archives or FAQ to direct me to?? [..Joe??]
