Emagic "Logic" List and Mac Audio

A long time ago, I was on an internet list of the same general nature as
this one, regarding Emagic's "Logic" audio sequencer, but I can't for the
life of me seem to remember the address for subscribing. (Historically,
I've used Logic for sequencing microtonal stuff.)

I have an immediate question related to that. It ultimately comes down
to a general Mac audio question (I think), so perhaps some of you folks
might know the answer: When I installed Logic Audio version 2.6 on my G3
PowerBook, it installed some sound-related ... extension or control panel
or something like that. Unfortunately I can't seem to recall for sure what
it was called, but it sounded like a very standard extension, and I *think*
it was "Mac AV Audio".

Since then I've noticed something odd: Audio goes silent when I take it
out of sleep mode. Not just audio from QuickTime instruments, but even
beeps from other sources.

Does any of this sound familiar to anybody out there?

Thanks, folks!
