Greetings from the Orphonage

Hello all - this is Marc Jones.
Some of you know me already.
For those of you who do, hi, it's me.

I'd wanted to start writing to the list
sometime after last winter's Microthon.
I just noticed it's been just that - some time.
The show was 6 months ago today.
So time's done a wastin'...

Some of you caught my first performance
of any kind in 20 years,
at the Microthon on 11/11/2000, about 4 pm.

I should apologize.
In the hopes of having four people on stage,
I wound up playing a solo 32tET guitar
against recorded audio on my iMac
after being stood up by all possible candidates.
It might have been a better experience for everyone
if I was performing with 3 other humans.

Calling it a Mostly Electric String Quartet,
it was scored for 2 electric guitars, electric bass and acoustic violin.
I've had a lot of positive feedback about the piece actually.
And thank those of you who have sent it this way.

There's not much to ever really tell tuning wise about the piece,
so I thought I'd knock it out here, for anyone who was interested. :)
I pretty much stayed with the 19/32 fifth,
except I used the 18/32 (9/16, phew) a little
in the 3rd Movement as a joke...
Against the 19/32 fifth, though, I switched back and forth
between the 10/32 and 11/32 major third;
The 10/32 I used for a sort of Chromatic Mean Tone effect (2m2 = M2)
running the 3/32 around more or less imagining it to be 2/22...
and the 11/32 yields the 8/32 (1/4 octave) minor 3rd
so I flipped that around a bit.
