3 microtonal music concerts in NYC April '99

Michael Harrison will perform his first harmonically tuned
piano concert in New York City in six years.
(If you've heard "From Ancient Worlds" on New
Albion, you'll know what to expect.) Continuing the
legacy of his mentors La Monte Young and Terry Riley,
Harrison's music draws on the natural musical scales
and just-intonation tunings from the Pythagorean
tradition of ancient Greece, as well as India, Persia,
China and Pre-Baroque Europe.
