Here's a recorder fingering for the 1 3 5 7 hexany on the descant:

Scale
1/1 8/7 6/5 48/35 8/5 12/7 2/1

or ignoring factors of 2:
1/1 1/7 3/5 3/(5*7) 1/5 3/7

so multiplying by 5*7, it's
5*7 1*5 3*7 1*3 1*7 3*5 5*7

Choosing c of the descant for the 5*7 = 1/1

Low register:
0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 = 1/1 = 5*7
 1 2 3 4 5 = 8/7 = 1*5 (sweeter)
0 1 2 3 4 5 - = 6/5 = 3*7
0 1 2 3 4 - - = 48/35 = 1*3
0 1 2 - 4 - - - = 8/5 = 1*7
0 1 - 3 4 5 - - = 12/7 = 3*5
0 - 1 - - - - - = 2/1 = 5*7

Middle register:
 1 2 3 4 5 6 - = 1*5
 1 2 3 4 5 - 7 = 3*7
 1 2 3 4 - - - = 1*3
 1 2 3 - 5 6 7 = 1*7
 1 2 - 4 5 6 = 3*5
 1 - - 4 5 - - = 5*7

Alternatives:
0 1 2 3 4 5 - = 8/7 = 1*5
 1 2 3 4 5 = 8/7 = 1*5
0 1 2 3 4 5 - = 6/5 = 3*7
Middle register:
 1 2 3 4 5 = 1*5 (sweeter)
or
 1 2 3 4 5 = 1*5 (lies easily under
the hands)

where:
= less than half covered. For double holes,
partly cover one of them.

= more than half covered. For double holes,
cover one, and partly cover the second.

One chooses the exact amount to cover by
ear (I play the notes in FTS to start with,
until I get the idea of where they all are).

One can expect some slight variation from recorder
to recorder, e.g. the in
0 1 2 3 4 - -
might need to be shaded less or more - the lower register
version of this note tends to be a bit sharper than the
middle register version, which is why it's needed.

A suitable notation for scores:
successive white notes show notes of the scale.

So,

C of staff = 1*5, D = 3*7, ... A = 3*5,
(B), C = 5*7'

Because it is a 6 note scale, easier for a musicians used
to the conventional staff to read it if
the B isn't used. Or you could say, B also = 3*5.

Then one just needs to associate the C of the score with
5*7 in either register, the D with 1*5, and so on.

Here is a recorder tune in this scale and

Here it is again with extra parts for second descant
and tenor recorder in a slightly jazzy tempo (same fingering).
