Hillarious! Reminds me of making my first JI piece in 1989 with DX100
and a 4 track cassette. The DX100 has no microtonal capability, per
se, but the FM synthesis "template" is harmonic by default. I made 8
identical patches for each part, differing only in that the coarse
frequencies were multiplied by 8 through 15, yeilding a classic
harmonic fragment scale - provided I played only one note at a time
and switched patches between each note! Lot's of punching in and
out. With the addition of a little harmonic strumming on a justly
tuned electric guitar, it came together as "Camel Ride." It ain't
Steely Dan by a jolly sight, but if you want another laugh:
