Hi David,

Enjoyed your FAQ on the scottish bagpipes.

My nephew and sister have explained to me about the three pentatonic scales as the motivation for
the Scottish bagpipe scale.

However, I wonder how many bagpipers know the ratios used for the tuning of the chanter?

I've tried out your ratios in FTS (with a drone, which is a new feature I've been working on in the
more recent betas), and they sound great.

I wonder if you have thought of doing an html version of it too with sound clips of the Mixolodian
scale and the three pentatonic scales against the bagpipe drone, and with the two tunings of the
Mixolodian scale?

If interested in that idea, you can do what John Starret did with the background image for his page,
and save the clips along with the html file in the faq files directory.

Or you can put it on your own web site.

Either way, my program would be able to find the links in the page, and download the clips to the
on-site tree.

I was interested in the 19-tet info, and I think it could be of interest to newbies.

Robert
