I wonder if one couldn't perhaps argue something along the
lines of the opposite... Where perhaps it is often the case
that the superincumbent piths and gist's of Art tend to
carry with them a great 'anagogic optimism -- ' One that
however ill defined or explicitly attributed can effect
people at a very fundamental level and in very profound
ways...
