I promised that I'd try to create an ASCII diagram of
Mo:llendorff's keyboard. Here goes...

"Bichromatic Harmonium" keyboard,
patented 1915 by Willi Mo:llendorff

W = black keys
/ = brown keys (the quarter-tones)

(You can get the best view by stepping way back from the monitor
and squinting with your eyes half shut. Perhaps some viewers
would like to print it out, draw solid lines over the dotted ones
I made, and color in the black and brown keys.)

Mo:llendorff describes the keyboard as having three levels:
the white keys are the lowest, the brown keys in the middle,
and the black keys the highest.

I tried to make the 3-D drawing, but it didn't come out too well...

I'm currently refining my English translation of Mo:llendorff's
book. When it's finished, it will be published on my website.
