microtonal composers at universities

Well, I'm one, but microtonal composition is not my main
"research area" (this would be quite impossible since Im
in an electrical engineering department).
Nonetheless, a surprising number of people in
EE are interested in music and audio, and we get a fair number
of people "crossing over" from the arts to take
technologically oriented courses.
