Montreal's always been one of my favorite places,
and I can vouch for the quantity and quality of its
musical activites - but I had no idea there was that
much microtonal stuff going on.

In fact, Montreal isn't such a haven for microtonalists... Bruce Mathers
projects to permanently detune a piano has been not only rejected by
McGills' Uiversity, but prohibited by some administrative laws... So
McGills' not such a good place to study microtonality. I've heard that the
Montreal's Conservatory's maybe is better... but who knows...!?

I didn't heared (yet) so much about microtal stuff going on there... though,
I'm not living there (I'm at 300km from there ;-) so, I can be absolutly not
be aware of what is going on there...

Someone is knowing more about that?
Also, someone has any informations about the Microtonal Festival (or
something like that) in NYC in May? Any homepage or whaterver else? Or any
big microtonal activities going on somewhere else?... Maube not in CA,
cause it would take me a week to go there ;-)

Thanks!
