The 7th is pretty wild too. Somewhere in my computer files, I have a URL of
an online article regarding the tuning of the Highland pipes, I'll try to
find it and post it.

What tuning/s are you using for pipe tunes on guitar? I use DADGAD and
sometimes also EADEAE or DADEAE.

Hasn't she done an album with Triona as well?

I assume you mean low to high for the tunings. The one I can add to that is DAAEAE low to high,
called the pibroch tuning in some circles. Check out Tony McManus's website. He uses the pibroch
tuning and is quite the wizard at fast dance music on the guitar. I use drop D mostly.

Yes, that is what I meant. Sorry, I should have specified that.

I will check out his website. I already have two CDs featuring his playing,
on one he accompanies Alistair Frasier, the other is one of his solo albums.
His fiddle/pipes style ornamentation is truly astounding.

I'll have to try out that tuning as well.
