Let us all remember that this is the *World Wide Web*. The cultural reality is far larger than the greater New York area. Or any New York area, for that matter. Cultural reality is in the locale of the beholder...

And how about changing subject headings occasionally, so we don't have 400 replies, wandered *way* off-topic, saying "Re: Let's have a FAQ!"?

Cheers,

Jon, you are in reverse, here. I was including the small metropolitan of New
York since it does have a different reality. However, the definition of
microtonal music as including larger intervals that are microtonal (a word
Harry Partch rarely employed) is widely employed throughout the world. This
is not the time to get sensitive about NY hegemony. Regardless, American
Festival of Microtonal Music includes all of America, and the world.

I guess so.

Yep, didn't mean to, either. I'll wait for a better occasion! :) And
I realize that your idea of microtonal music, and microtone, is at
variance from many others, so no need to go into it.

Best,
Jon
