Hello,

I haven't contributed to this list in a long, long time.

I'm finishing a piece for solo violin and electronics in 19TET. In my piece,
I'm using several harmonic series (all with g as a common note) adjusted to
19TET.

I notated the music in Finale using eighth-tone notation. While this type of
notation leads to a maximum deviation of 12 cents only, I was wondering
whether anyone is experienced with writing for string instruments in 19TET
or other temperaments, and what kind of (probably more idealized) notation
systems would also be advisable (besides Joseph Yasser's system which I
always found outlandish).

BTW, let me know if anyone is interested in finding out how one can make
Finale (or any notation program) play back music in 19TET or nTET (with n <
48, higher numbers should also be possible but require some reprogramming)
using MAX and the IAC bus.

Georg
