Das musikalische Opfer

Neil Haverstick, you asked for a twelve tone row by J.S.Bach. Were you
perhaps thinking of the theme from Das musikalische Opfer? Anton Webern
orchestrated
the ricercare, using a different instrument for every note of the theme. I
can't recite the theme exactly by memory, but I think it starts like this:
c' - eb' - g' - ab' - B, g' - f#' - f - e, etc. It has a very chromatic
character and the link with dodecaphony is evident by the use Webern made of
it.
