CSOUND mailing list (??)

I have a question concerning the CSOUND mailing list. Is this it??:

csound-subscribe@lists.bath.ac.uk

??

It doesn't seem all that active. I think Pat Pagano asked a question
and somebody answered, and one gets about two e-mails per day...

Is this about an average for it?? Additionally, there is no "digest"
or anything of the like... well I guess for two messages it would
hardly be necessary...

Is this correct???

This is pretty funny... because I forgot that e-groups always
truncates ALL e-mail addresses...

Anyway, the one I subscribed to and am questioning is the one on this
page -- or rather "suite" of pages due to the "frame"...

I guess I'm getting a few more responses on the CSOUND mailing
list... However, is there no DIGEST mode. Apparently not. I love an
in-box full of mail.... :)

And, could someone briefly and gently explain what Linux is?? I'm
guessing that it is an alternate operating system to DOS/Windows (??)
I obviously haven't been keeping up.

I thought Linux was a character invented by Charles Schultz in
"Peanuts..."

The csound list does have a Digest version, but it unaccountably
stopped working in November (well, after a software expert adjusted
it). I have been totally unable to get it working again, despite many
attempts. In fact it is time to have another go this week.
Until then one has to continue with the one-at-a-time version; as
soon as I can get the digest running I will be circulating the list,
pausing only to cheer loudly.

Thanks so much, John. I will want to be on the Digest mode,
eventually.... My guess is that I will be asking you for more
help... (ahem, cough, cough) and I want you to know that I am very
supportive of CSOUND, just a little frustrated at the moment...
