Through the use of adhesive tape, one can reshape the holes of a recorder.
For a number of years I've converted equal tempered recorders into 1/4 comma
meantone, often as performance art over the radio.

The directions for placing the tape - barring a photocopy of the properly
placed tape - requires 5 pieces and is as follows. One piece over some of the
2nd hole, one over some of the 3rd hole. Place the tape over the part of the
hole furthest from the mouthpiece. Then cover a smidgen of the lowest 2
holes' small chromatic holes. Also, a piece over a bit of the end hole.

Regarding how much of the hole is taped: less is more. There can be dullness
of tone attributeable to the air column being blunted by a dull tape edge.
Fresh tape is essential...and a gooey instrument can be a risk, though it
doesn't cause any lasting damage.

Through particular fingerings, I suspect all microtones are possible to
achieve on a recorder.

Wow, I bet you raised a lot of money for your local public radio station
that way! Tell us more!

More: adding 5 pieces of tape to a recorder can be accomplished in less than a
minute's time. Somtimes I'd play along with a Frans Bruggen's quarter-comma
meantone performance of a G. F. Handel Sonata for recorder. Playing 12ET was
audibly disagreeable. Only the tape changes could save my credibility with
the listeners: it was really obvious that there was a difference.

You didn't mention; what size recorder did you use? Alto? Soprano?
