Whoopsie. I made a "boo boo." That's what I get when I venture
information away from my calendars...

No, Kyle Gann is not one of the Fred Sherry "chosen." You can
imagine my consternation at this entire development of the 50
"selected" New York composers who are considered by Fred Sherry to be
the "real" ones... only a few microtonalists in that lot...

Kyle is going to be on the "Second Helping" series of the St. Luke's
Chamber Ensemble. He will have a piece, Saturday, February 3rd at
2PM at the Dia Center for the Arts, 548 W. 22nd St. The young
composer Oliver Schneller, who really is quite an interesting "cat"
is also on that concert. The series this year is curated by Joan
Tower.

Actually, I also had a piece on this series a couple of years ago, so
I guess I shouldn't be so impressed. I'm easily impressionable,
though, so I'm still impressed...
