fare-well

Ladies and Gentlemen, it's been a grand ruckus! Along the way I've
learned unspeakable things from places men fear to tread. If I
managed to make some sort of contribution in the process, so much
the better. Many of you have become close friends, as far as long-
distance semi-professional acquaintance allows... We've made
arguments, but hopefully, friendly and productive ones. I'd like to
stay subscribed forever, but I figure 3.5 years is a good run...

I'm moving to Berkeley again, to work for Keyspan (www.keyspan.com).
If y'all need a Firewire adapter, drop me a line! The line is...

carl@lumma.org

...my clumma@nni.com address, fiction of my ISP here in Pennsylvania,
will be defunct very shortly.

I reserve the right to, at some future time, drop by. In the meantone,
I wish you all productive musings, and good music! I will un-subscribe
on Sunday, Dec. 24th. Blessed solstice, all.

Love,

-Carl

Bye-bye, Carl, and thanks for all the fish! You will be missed!

Shit Carl, you can't just LEAVE! Without a forwarding address, and no
definite plans to come back again!

Oh well, I guess you must do whatever seems best. But I sure am gonna
miss you.

Your name will live on in Scala and on my website and others', and of
course in the archives. Did you manage to pass those Mills archives on
to someone?

Regards,
-- Dave Keenan

Forwarding address I can't do, as I can't afford to pay my ISP when
I'm not living here. Just use carl@lumma.org. Speedy response
promised (I'm in the process of switching from desktop to laptop, so
I'll never be far from e-mail now...).

Ditto!

After the last digest rolls in, I'll archive everything to a text file
and post it on my web server. Also, I'll be putting up an edited archive
of the best 50% of my posts -- sort of a quick and dirty "What I've
Learned" collection. But I can't spoil too many secrets of my upcoming
web site. :)
