Limited and finicky tools

Hi,

I have a recording of Barry Anderson's music, which includes a ring
modulator effect which was new to me. I've heard plenty of stuff against
a single oscillator, but here in "Piano Piece no.2" (I think), Anderson
notated two piano parts - one played on a mic'ed grand and the other on
an electronic keyboard, both fed through either channel of a ring
modulator.

Bostonian Vic Rawlings ('cello with sympathetic strings, serangi)
sometimes plays effect pedals by scrubbing open circuitry with trap
brushes.
