the raaal just intonation

Back in the Midwest, where I hails from, we like our overtone series
the "old fashioned way..." We like to hear them low integer
overtones of the series, none of this "high fallutin" NEW just
intonation practice with the 125th harmonic and a whole bunch of
difference tones. We call that "noise" in our parts...

Therebee, I would heartily recommend the "old style" just intonation
of a swift young lad called "Shri Swifty."

"Shri Swifty & the Mandali of Mantra" CD. Now HERE'S a harmonic
series drone I can recognize...

In fact, we have taken to listening to this soon after the rooster
crows in the barn, supplanting temporarily our usual diet of Perotin
or Renaissance newbies...

We didn't know Swifty had so many records out. Many are in "limited
release" which is a smart idea for "specialty items."

There's lots of stuff. Fortunately Swifty gave me a "sample CD" at
our recent square (believe it) dance and hoedown.

"Cherry Smash" records carries this old time stuff...

during that recording we were improvising (already) to lissajous figures
that her computer was emitting via laser
her protege' firend Robert miller foulkrod createdthe program . The laser
lissajous figures were projected onto a mattress that was being used for
sound concerns-- it was rather fun. @Afmm the ataraxx video was the score
Barbara is a wonderful person and the coolest 80 year old i know :-)
As a tribute to the health benefits of JI let me say that she swims with the
dolphins like every year still....
