There's a new browser on the scene (I think it is just for Windows):

http://www.parallelgraphics.com/products/cortona/download/

(at least, it is fairly recent and I've just discovered it)

You can run two VRML browsers at once if you have both Netscape and Internet Explorer - by installing one under
Netscape and one for Internet Explorer.

For table for Cortona + another browser:

http://www.parallelgraphics.com/products/cortona/faq/

say, Cortona under Netscape, and WorldView or Cosmo Player under IE.

(I've tried this and it works.)

Other recommended browsers:

Cosmo Player
http://www.cai.com/cosmo/home.htm

Their mac version is still at beta and has been for some time.

For Win 98, you can also try ticking Control Panel | Add Remove Programs | Windows Setup | Internet tools | Microsoft
VRML 2.0 viewer

I think that one might be WorldView, which is another good VRML viewer, but not sure as I already have WorldView
installed and don't want to uninstall it and re-install it again.

The WorldView site is supposed to be
http://www.intervista.com
but the link doesn't seem to work any more, so I'm not sure what has happened to it.

A nice feature of Cosmo Player and WorldView is that if you drag with the mouse and let go while moving it, in Study
mode, the model keeps spinning.

For Mac / Linux / Beos etc, I don't know what is best to recommend, but this page shows some of the browsers available:
http://www.web3d.org/vrml/browpi.htm

This one shows features of a few of them - one needs to check the Audio column shows MIDI / Wav.

If anyone has recommendations for these platforms, I'd like to know, to mention on my VRML web pages.
