Yow...in the December Guitar Player is a review of a new fretless
electric/acoustic guitar, the Glissentar by Godin...it has 11 strings
(nylon), 5 with 2 courses, and one low drone string. Looks killer; this
is a good healthy sign. Funny thing is, Joe Gore, who is quite hip, does
the review, and doesn't mention the word microtonal
once...weird...Hstick

Correct me if I'm wrong, but that's exactly the arrangement of the
oud, the fretless "guitar" of the middle east.
