I've never used the ASR-X but I would most strongly recommend the keyboard ASR-10 which should
be available these days at a decent second hand price. I make up tunings on a Mac with JI Calc
and send them via midi to the ASR-10. Fast and simple. The sounds and effect algorithms are
powerful and highly programmable.
