Birds or whales//whales or birds?

****Has anybody noticed that when you slow bird calls way down they sound
strikingly similar to whale song...

No and yes.

I have actually heard the exact opposite, that is, when whales are sped up,
they sound like birds!

It must be realized though that things, in the real world, arn't actually
this, shall we say, linear.

I do know that an up sampled, and time stretched Rottweiller DOSEN'T sound
like a Jack Russel terrier, close, but no cigar, though!
