I know you have pointed out the dual purpose of the tree before, Kraig, but
it seems that for the purpose of scale generation, Erv is using the noble
means only in a logarithmic sense and never in an acoustical sense. Do you
have any examples where Erv does the latter?

general formula is the subject of the Appendix of Manfred Schroeder's book,
_Fractals, Chaos, Power Laws_ -- get this book if you don't already have it.
