Paul Simon gets almost microtonal

Paul Simon has an mp3.com site at
http://artists.mp3s.com/artists/165/paul_simon.html
The tune that's where I belong has a cool flutey-bendy-over-drone intro
with definite micro tendencies. Only about 10 seconds, but still....

Also, what is the micro-doo on the Jimmy Page-Robert Plant tour a couple
of years ago? I recall something about non-12tet content.

I remember an "urban legend" about the music for the film Klute being in
31tet. What's the straight dope?

Oh yeah -- the Arabic musicians use standard Arabic scales, 24-tET or
close enough.

Never heard of Klute, but I'd like to check it out. Is it on video?

John!
Emil Richards used both 31 tone tubes and the 22 tone transcelestes of Erv Wilson.

It is a Jane Fonda movie... pretty good one too. She plays a
prostitute. Should be on video.

Thanks David. Gorn has a great sound, which you can hear in the audio
clips on this site.

The Simon, or the Klute soundtrack?
