The following was copied from John
Starrett's webpage about this Tuning Forum's
recent compilation CD. You can purchase
one from anyone who had a piece on it.

I know a lot of people on this list
were put off by Brian McLaren's style
when he was posting here, but I know
Brian personally, and that's just a
surface attitude. Deep down inside
he's a really generous and helpful
(and smart) guy.

He's working tirelessly to produce
an entire series of "Microtonal Bookshelf"
CDs (and an info-jammed website).

I think he's got over 50 CDs planned,
and has already produced many, with music
in all kinds of different tunings by
himself, Ivor Darreg, Jonathan Glasier,
Bill Wesley, Jeff Stayton, John McBryde,
and lots more of the West Coast gang.

It's done with a great sense of humor
too - some of his packaging graphics are
truly hilarious.

You can reach him only by snail-mail
(but it's worth it):

This is not an actual source of microtonal
CDs, but it's a great informational resource.
David Beardsley's "Juxtaposition" Ezine
has reviews of CDs, tapes, and New York City
area concerts, many of them microtonal
(indicated by the magenta text).

Then, of course, there's always the
microtonality you may not have known was
there (on "regular" CDs): I certainly
recommend getting the remastered 2-CD set
of Robert Johnson, the great bluesman
- see my website for microtonal info on him:
