Dear Dante
David and i have a similar aesthetic as it applies (it seems) to several
important things to me
1. just intonation and the exploration of higher primes as scale building
tools
2. "duration,duration, duration"......................hah a little real
estate joke there..
3. and what seems to be termed "Minimalism" as fathered by LY

I am applying these criteria to visual realizations
ATARAXYA----peace of mind----db's term (ancient greek)
represented by two rooms that intersect at a certain point
--db has his own comps
--me as well

they exist via the extenuations of and ornamentations of the, dare i say
"Young Gharana"
that is a style and influence as Shivkumar Sharma might exude a certain
shankar training in his musics
while this may be Direct in Hindu musics via the Guru/sishya traditions
it is INDIRECT in our western culture
I think it is valid to attempt these visuals with the premise that Art is
indeed collaborative in technological culture and
may exist eternally via some installation and serves to document a
concentric union or intersection of progress of a collaborative relationship

On a basic JI level it's 17 limit for the most part.

I hope i did not go too OT
cheers and thanks for the kind words

Thanks.

I haven't really seen the site yet, my computer
doesn't like flash - doesn't matter, I'm ordering
a new machine in the morning.

All the video is by Pat. The one video I do know, Ataraxya,
is basically a Yamaha TX-somethinganother drone
with a violin loop by Pat and a lap steel loop by
me. I faded in an open string tuning, note by note
with a volume pedal to create the loop. 17 limit.
This is actually the backing track for the piece.

There's some other pieces that we did together that
will probably end up some where on the net at some point.
