Break-point in the A440 scale between E3 and F3 (~170 Hz) ?

Subject: Break-point in the A440 scale between E3 and F3 (~170 Hz) ?

Hi:

In speech pitch I found a break-point in pitch behavior at ~ 170 Hz. This
means that there may be a borderline in our tone sensation between E3 and F3
on the A440 scale. The effect was independent of sex.

Question: Has anybody come across, or heard of, a possible break-point in
scales between E3 and F3 (~170 Hz) ?
