Hi Brian,

Perhaps you may like my improvisation in 13-tet
on the tunes page.

http://members.tripod.com/~robertinventor/tunes/improvisations.htm#13-tet

It is in the Sitar voice of my soundcard, which seems
to work rather well in 13-tet for some reason.

Uses mode

0 2 3 6 7 9 12 13

which includes a kind of dim7th as:

0 3 6 9 (12) 13

where if you leave out the (12) you get
three minor thirds and a major third
stacked on top of each other.

This mode has the fourth a quarter tone sharp,
and the fifth of the mode (if one thinks of it
as a kind of minor scale) as more than a quarter tone
flat.

Today I've been experimenting with changing the waveform
for the FFT algorithm, and got a very chopped up kind
of coloured noise. That was for just the "FFT" of a sine wave.

So, thinking of trying to warp the sine wave just a little
e.g. for square wave, make it say 80 percent sine wave
and 20 percent square.
