Hello to all!

Just wanted to mention that I saw a couple of budget tunable synths on
www.rougemusic.com.

Yamaha TG55........................$250
Yamaha TX81Z.......................$169

They'll ship COD too.

I'm always looking around for deals such as this so I'll let the
group know when I see tunable synths for cheap. (Someone grabbed up
that TX802 that I mentioned a while back - I can only hope that it
found a home with a microtonalist!)

Good Day!

Jacky

Is there a list of tunable synths online some where?

Also anyone know of Mac software for designing/study of alternate tunings?

Just in case any of you had not heard, there is a new Mac softsynth that
supports many different tunings, http://www.absyn.com/

I don't know if this is what you are searching for; anyway, here it goes.
I am developing an application for the Mac platform, which, among other
functions, is intended to help pipe organ restorers in investigating the
possible original tuning of antique pipe organs during restoration (lots
of antique organs with unequal temperaments in Italy :-)).
It allows to set whatever temperament at whatever pitch, and then study
it in its numerical and acoustical aspects, with graphical facilitations.
Its limitations are:
-12 notes per octave, as in the usual instruments
-the octave interval is 2:1 and cannot be modified
-it currently cannot execute MIDI files; sounds are generated by a soft
synth using the built-in sound card of the Mac (CD quality).
Some more functions are in development phase at present, so they don't work
properly now.

If you think it could be of any help, please let me know, I'll be happy
to send a copy and hear your comments; the program is currently
unavailable on the 'net.

Best regards
