Free, free, ISP

I've just noticed, of late, that there are a number of "free" ISP's
floating around... It makes me wonder why I am paying $25 per month for
CompuServe...

One is affiliated with Tripod on Lycos:

There are others.

I was wondering if anyone has yet had experience with these... Are the
dependable?? I've been with CompuServe since 1988 (!), so I'm not in a
real hurry to make a switch... but I was just wondering...
