Life and strife

Hey, hey, hey!

A game of Conway's life on a tuning lattice!

Now that's creative thinking!

Actually, I am now starting on the procedure of making my own website, so I
will include links to you guys websites, if you don't mind.

I have written down in my diary at home, in my council falt, many, MANY
variants on Conway's life, and I have plans to make sonograms which are
effected by life.

Dearest Brethren of the tuning list,-I have to ask you something eles...

I have been desperately, DESPERATELY, D-E-S-P-E-R-A-T-E-L-Y searching around
on the internet for a graphically displaying/sonucally displaying software,
but one that has a powerful set of tools, like as in compression waveforms,
sonograms, and the ability to impliment a PROGRAMMING ENVIROMENT to alter
these graphical displays, so, for example, supposse that I wanted to display
a sonogram on a 2D surface, and to color in cells on this sonogram, and then
have the computer instructed to perform cellular automata in "merely" two
states, but with state 1=Backwards sound, and state 0=Fowards sound, which,
what, if any programming enviroment would I use?

Sure, I have seen SOUNFORGE, I have seen VIRTUAL WAVES, and there all
provide many tools for me to realise similar experiments to this cellular
automata on lattices, but I need on with an ACTUAL MANIPULATEABLE
PROGRAMMING ENVIROMENT/CODE, and from there, it hardly needs to be mentioned
that theings can get REALLY CREATIVE.

I know that CSOUND, and JAVA all have their used for altering the computer's
speakers, but I do not have the time to write a code that will display
graphically waveforms,-I would rather have ont that did if for me.

Perhaps (perhaps?) the best bet in one called "MAX", by OPCODE, and they are
brinning out a version for the PC.

Does anybody know about MAX by OPCODE, and as to weather it has the facility
to manipulate graphics and sonicss, and play with their interelationships?

I call this "programmable synasthesia".

:o)

People doen at the music shop are really phased at me, because my ideas are
really, really strange.

But you guys don't have to be!

But Keenan Pepper,-GOOD THINKING!!!
