Scala on MAC 10.8.3

Hi All

Is anyone else running, or attempting to run (!), Scala on a fairly new MAC OS X?

I have attempted to follow the installation instructions on the Scala home page, and come tantalisingly close to success - but never quite manage to get there.

Are there any work arounds that people can recommend?

I am returning to MAC after a long time on PC and I Scala was a really helpful tool for me on PC.
