It looks good. I can certainly make it. They don't have
the prices up so I don't know if I'll want to go there. But
assuming I do, does anybody have ideas for a 20 minute talk
I could give?

Uh, gee, whatever could you talk about? I'm stumped! /sarcasm

Dear Carl,
I've written them because I planned to submit a score.
Just a little question, which I'll certaily ask them, unless you know an obvious answer.
So far I assumed there is no cost for authors (I mean for submitting scores and for them to be performed if applicable). Am I utterly wrong, perhaps ? Of course I am not asking about accomodation.
Many thanks :)
Bests,
Claudi

Hi Claudi,

I don't have any knowledge about this conference beyond what
is on its website. Generally it is considered poor taste to ask
such a fee.

Best,

Dear Carl,
many thanks for your kind reply.
That's more or less what I had imagined, indeed.

Claudi

I have been thinking of submitting a score, too - just when I saw that Masters like Julien Weiss and the duo Contour are to be part, I started wondering whether my amateurish stuff would be appropriate... In any case - did you already get an answer from them? I am still thinking...

Hi,
is your question addressed to me or Carl ? :)
Anyway, I'll reply as if it were addressed to me, since I am sure this cannot hurt anyone :)
I got a couple of answers from them (I had asked about 16,26 and 31 edo) and I eventually got satisfied. They'll feature midi-keyboard players too.
I encourage you to ask them your questions directly: in my case, they made all efforts to reply exhaustively.
Anyway, I didn't ask them about a possible author fee... if on the one hand it is considered poor taste to ask such a fee, on the other hand it would be poor taste as well to ask about such a fee, hence, so far, I refrained from doing that.
Good luck :)
Bests,
Claudi

Hi,

Yes, it was addressed at you :-)
OK, thanks for the answers. (I hadn't even thought about an author's fee before...) If I can find the courage, I will mail them directly. (Just gotta find the courage first...)

Best, Hans
