Hi Joseph,

Incidentally, way back when the 'Pythagorean Ives' issue was up and
running full bore here at the TD, I was curious as to whether or not
any of Ives' spelling curious were ever anything like schismatic
spellings, because some of his descriptive language (as opposed to
technical language) in the "Memos" sounded as though he might have
also had the occasional (near) JI (acoustically pure) sonority in
either mind or ear... Though I only really took a brief look at what
little manuscript material I have to look at, I pretty quickly decided
that this just wasn't going to be the case.

Speaking of Ives...

Besides pianist Nicholas Zumbro's enthusiastic and sure-handed three
movements from the "Concord" (including a concert recording of
"Emerson") up at MP3.com:

I just noticed that Evgena Kostreva and Andrew Schwartz have posted
"Autumn" and "In the Barn" from Sonata No. 2 for Violin and Piano:

Despite Ives' own disparaging remarks about the sonatas for violin and
piano in the "Memos" (too 'light,' too 'weak,' etc., etc.), I've
always kind of had a soft spot for them; especially the first and
second.
