Good resources for beginners

Facebook is ruined, so Igs said he's coming back here. I think it's
about time we dusted this list off and got going again anyway.
(Hopefully I'll finish my stuff on Weil limits soon and dust
tuning-math off too.)

I'm looking for some good resources for beginners who want to jump in.
Here's what I have:
- Paul's 22 paper
- George Secor's 17 paper
- Igs' 15 paper
- The Armodue paper
- Graham's Regular Mapping Paradigm paper
- (Does Igs have a 13-EDO paper now?)

Any others?

I have several papers that are near completions--one for 14, one for 16, one for 17, and one (less thorough) for 13. I'd probably get off my arse and finish them if I felt like there was an audience for them. They've been near-finished for almost a year now.

The thread is here, BTW:

Your feeling is understandable. In my case, I just have no time to do
all the projects I have got planned, so I'm trying to prioritize. In
my case, I absolutely will not do anything else until Weil norms are
done, I have to stop not-finishing stuff.

I'd read them, surely.

I've kept up with what I can follow on this list, but I haven't been on
Facebook much at all lately, what happened?

Never mind, don't answer that.

Ah, I see it's the comments problem. Memcached strikes again!

Comments are completely screwed up. Someone will comment, and we'll
all get a notification that their comment was made and of the first
~100 characters, but then it won't actually appear when you refresh
the page. Sometimes, it takes over a day for the comment to appear.
This started earlier in the week and, like other temporary Facebook
bugs, we all figured it'd pass, but now it's continuing with no end in
sight. For instance, in this post

http://www.facebook.com/groups/xenharmonic/permalink/10151109534804482/

All I see as of posting this are Igs' and Jakes' comments. A few
minutes ago, all I saw were comments from myself. There should be a
bunch of responses from Igs, Gene, Jake, and Carlos in there.

Yahoo used to do this too, of course (and for all I know,
still does). The reliability of these systems is lower than
usenet or listservs from 30 years ago. Pretty incredible,
but there it is.

Ah, me of little faith.

Reviewing recent posts on the FB group, I see now. Laying low these days
(work/school/family), but I'll keep my eyes here at least.
