Hi all

A slew of updates, to the free DT software, available for download at http://www.dynamictonality.com. In particular, the size of the period can now be set in Relayer and Hex and appropriately reflected in 2032 (in terms of the underlying tuning and spectral matching). Other updates include:

2032 (a modal physical modeling synthesizer that supports microtonal tunings and matching of the timbre to the underlying tuning. Tunings, timbral matching, and physical models can be changed dynamically)
- The size of the period can now be changed dynamically (in Setup or via Relayer or Hex)
- Improved sound quality (sustained notes no longer overload)
- Improved balance between low and high notes
- Fixed bug in OS X version where MIDI and audio options did not work correctly
- Addition of a hidden all-notes-off/panic/reset button at the top of the tower
- Fixed rounding errors which made tuning sent by Hex or Relayer, and that displayed by 2032, different

Relayer (for players of the AXiS-49 and the QWERTY keyboard - Relayer provides access to a broad range of note layouts and microtonal tunings. Can be used with 2032 or standard multi-timbral synths - e.g., Virsyn Tera, Pianoteq, Alphakanal Automat, probably others)
- Improved graphics
- Layouts can be rotated in increments of 60 degrees
- You can create your own layout presets (go to the text file Layouts.txt)
- Protection against MIDI feedback loops
- A MIDI thru port selector for control/pedal messages
- Compatibility updates for the new version of 2032
- Lots of useful new preset tunings

Hex (A MIDI sequencer designed to make sequencing in a wide variety of microtonal tunings as straightforward as in 12-TET. It replaces the familiar piano roll with a lattice roll)
- Efficiency improvements
- Compatibility updates for the new version of 2032

Note that the new versions of Hex, 2032, and Relayer, are not compatible with the old versions. So, if you update one, you should update them all.

I hope you enjoy (if you do - please post here, or email us, to let us know!).

P.S. - In the works ... a C++ version of Hex - many more features, much more efficient, and generally better. A new version of The Viking (an additive synth, disguised as an old-fashioned subtractive synth but with dynamically alterable microtonal tunings and spectral matching) for Windows and OS X.

Wooooo hooooooooo! Awesome! Thanks man!

Everyone with an AXiS should download Relayer at once!
