The home page says 268 new members joined in the last week. They are almost all bots/spammers.

I'm aware. I've been trying to get a hold of Mark so we can temporarily
lock the links and calendar sections, but he seems to be MIA for the moment.

The obvious sham accounts should be deleted, and the list
should probably be moved to 'require approval to join'
rather than just 'require approval for first post'.
