From here:

"According to Kurt Stone (20th-century Notation), Tartini referred to this symbol in 1756."

Kurt Stone's book was published in 1980 and is actually called
"Music Notation in the Twentieth Century:A Practical Guidebook".

Does anyone have access to this book and could check what Kurt Stone actually says and what source he cites? Another source tells us the relevant section is pages 67-70.

This Book by Heiner Ruland, 1992, attributes the half-sharp symbol to "Fokker and Badings" while attributing other symbols to Tartini (some fractional flats).
