Although it seems that Julian Carrillo never composed in 72-EDO, he did have a piano tuned to a 72-tone octave built
as part of his set of "metamorphosing" pianos. His daughter Dolores (aka Lolita) Carrillo recorded a tape containing the scales of all of these pianos.

John,

I didnt imagine that more than a century ago pianists were tuning to many scales and seems to me that today there are preferences to a group of scales since I see messages talking on EDO 22, Carrillo with 72 and others. I suppose when playing two pianos tuned to EDO 22 and EDO 72 the listener can distinguish two kinds of expressions Right?.

About 612 indorsement, I am working on that and complementary topics. I am finding interesting derivations; also I had to enter to negative areas, that is, I needed info available in the symmetrical zone of the 104 or 92 cells to perfecting the cell tables.

If you ask it I can explain you the option 104-104-104-92-104- 104 cells which make a total of 612 and the progression shows that this number of cells corresponds to octave 2 -- Once this matter is demonstrated the indorsement in favor of the 12 tone ET system would be accomplished. And consequently it would also be proved that the only exact octave is 2/1.

Mario

Hola John & Mario,

that was also considered by the Mexican theorist Augusto Novaro:
http://www.anaphoria.com/novaro.html

then there download especially Novaro's famous paper
http://www.anaphoria.com/novaro51.pdf
here concrete on page 79 in the PDF-document
= page 156 in the facsimile reproduction of the original book,
&ct... (written in Mexican-Spanish)

For an more genereal overview about the 72-tET concept see also:
