Hi Larry,

Your page http://music.dartmouth.edu/seminars/harmony.html states,

>Tenney's HD function, in one of its simplest forms, is perhaps the most
direct. >It is

>HD(a/b) = log(ab)

>where a/b is a relatively prime, usually octave reduced ratio.

I've been asking the tuning list repeatedly whether Tenney himself actually
octave-reduced ratios when performing this function, but no one seems to
know.

Larry, do you have any insight into this question?
