Hi there.

Most of you probably won't know the melodies of the particular carols but I'll post the composition anyway.

The first melody occurs in its original form many times throughout the piece. The very first occurrence, interestingly, is rather an exception because there the theme is inverted unlike all the subsequent repetitions.

For the final part towards the very end, another carol is quoted twice, first with a soft drone added, then extensively harmonized.

So, merry Christmas to you. I'll probably stop here around New year's eve one more time.

I know the first as a Lutheran hymn but not the second.

Petr,

I didn't know the melodies, but I thought the arrangements were very nice.
They had a Renaissance sort of feel to them, but with other flavors mixed
in. Thanks for posting.

Merry Christmas,
Jake
