I run BeOS on a dual boot machine in my little studio. Although BeOS is
fast and really cool in so many ways, it does not currently support enough
hardware, so you may find you have to replace a couple things. I was
lucky--everything I use was supported. As for micro tunable apps, Csound
for BeOS certainly qualifies, but I have found nothing else _specifically_
microtunable. Doesn't mean it's not out there. Try www.bebits.com for
software. You can download a free personal edition of BeOS from
www.be.com. It can be started from inside windows (doesn't run _under_
Windows). You will need 500 M free for the BeOS personal edition.
