Hi.

I'm new here.

I'm looking for an octave-equivalent
scale tuning system consisting of step sizes
no larger than 400 cents in which there is
no discernible mathematical pattern.

How is this best acheived?

Should I just make a list of available cent
approximations and then mark them off as I
find patterns they might reflect until I
get down to 5 tones?

random number generator?

not sure what you have in mind, but go for it!
